Christopher Boots lighting represents the most exciting new product to enter the International luxury design market. The NWBLK is the first gallery to introduce this lighting to North America.

Accomplishing the feat of creating alluring and elegant fixtures that reach the highest aesthetic principles of classic form, while employing sustainable LED technology, Chris has done what lighting and product designers have tried to do for years: combine high design with energy efficiency.

A trained industrial designer, Christopher Boots has a background in design and engineering. His lighting is handmade in Melbourne, Australia using a broad variety of techniques from a team of artisans; such as glass-blowers, coppersmiths, ceramicists, sculptors, and bronze casters, ensuring a commitment to quality.

He studied at La Trobe University majoring in linguistics, before making the switch to a Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design at Swinburne University of Technology.

Through a chance encounter, Christopher was afforded the opportunity to work with renowned lighting designer Geoffrey Mance. He learned that the mixing of materials and processes uncommon to the design world; that when combined, bring about something completely unexpected, while still retaining classical elements of form and proportion.

Christopher began pursuing his own design practice in early 2011. The force that drives him is one that pushes towards ideas that inspire, towards light sculptures that shift consciousness and bring beauty to the world.
